Aaron Alter's "First Time Meeting" for Clarinet, Violin, 'Cello and Piano will receive its World Premiere by the Unheard-of//Ensemble at a concert by Composers Concordance in New York entitled "Generations X" on October 16 at 7:00pm Eastern TIme, 4:00pm Pacific Time. In collaboration with Goddard Riverside Community Arts, Composers Concordance presents Generations X, the 10th-anniversary concert highlighting winners of the Generations Competition on Saturday, October 16 at the Goddard Riverside - Bernie Wohl Center.
Featuring the Unheard-of//Ensemble (Ford Fourqurean, clarinet; Melanie Riordan, violin; Issei Herr, cello; and Han Chen, piano), compositions by Aaron Alter, Jack Bramhaall, Dan Cooper, Shanan Estreicher, Rolf Johnson, Debra Kaye, Denise Koncelik, Matteo Dal Maso, Gene Pritsker, Anton Rovner, and Randall Woolf.
The program includes the winners of the Generations Competition: Matteo Dal Maso of Turin, Italy (25 years old or younger) for his composition Spiel, and Rolf Johnson of Albany, CA (65 years old or older) for The Mad Weasel’s Romance.
